The Southern California fire seasons of 2009/2010 hosted the Jesusita Fire in Santa Barbara which devastated the the Santa Barbara Botanical Garden and the Station Fire which consumed more acreage than any other fire in the history of Los Angeles. These paintings are a tribute to the botanical survivors of those infernos.
